Born in Morocco, raised on US Naval bases across the Pacific. Teen years in Long Beach, CA – alum of Long Beach Poly High and Chapman University (B.A). Served the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for 33 years, notably with Special Weapons for 14 years. Upon retirement, volunteered with the CA State Military Reserve (National Guard) for six years.
Together with my partner, Woodridge Lake has been our getaway from the bustle of the city for eleven years. I am an avid outdoorsman – hunting, hiking, bicycling, and fishing.
Born and raised in Shasta County. When it was time to find our dream home, Shingletown was the perfect answer. Being a part of a quieter community with open access to all the outdoor activities is our happy place. Professionally in the mental health field for over 10 years and have served on other boards in the community.
Look forward to bringing support to the Woodridge board and being a part of this community.
Originally from the UK and have lived in five countries. We discovered Shingletown a few years ago. Woodridge Lake is now our dream retirement home. I have an honors degree in Business and Finance and have worked for the European Space Agency, an insurance company, a Trust company and have been company director and/or CFO of our own businesses since 1995. Married for 27 years with two grown daughters and retired 14 years ago to play more tennis and pickleball. Love travel, food, cooking and eating, crochet/crafting (anything art related), gardening, and reading. Am a recent mum to 2 kittens.
Raised in Northern California, near Folsom Lake, I have lived in numerous places across the country, and most recently settling in San Diego to raise our family. My wife and I moved to Shingletown in August 2021 – seeking a place to live like where we always vacationed — the mountains. My family and friends call me “Markgyver”: yes, from the TV series, as I have a knack for keeping things running smoothly and fixing anything, and not just with rubber bands and gum. I received my bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University, and my work experience includes building and maintaining packaging equipment.
I look forward to serving our community as your Water Systems Administrator.
Spent my first few years following my father to different cities and countries for the military. Eventually we settled back to the northern most part of Kentucky. This is where I was born and my parents grew up. Went to school at the local Northern Kentucky University for Aviation and business. After college I started my training at the FlightSafety Academy in Florida. A job at the Redding airport first brought me to this area in 2010. Moved south near Sacramento and spent almost ten years flying for a private airline. Now I fly corporate aircraft for a business and family in the Bay Area. In the valley I was missing the lakes and green trees of Kentucky. So in 2020 I purchased my home in Woodridge Lake estates in Shingletown. We enjoy raising our 4 young kids in nature and cooler temperatures while spending time outdoors in our own wilderness
I grew up on the Central Coast, less than a ten minute walk from the beach. When I should have been studying, you could find me surf fishing or fishing from local wharfs. A wharf rat in the making.
After high school, I served for four years in the Air Force and married. We moved to Sacramento and I graduated from Sacramento State with a B.S. in Environmental Resources. My first job upon graduating from college was as a seasonal LEO Ranger with the U.S. National Parks Service at Whiskeytown NRA, Shasta County in 1973. Ten years later, I was recruited by my best friend to work for him in his squad in Shasta County for (the then) California Department of Fish And Game.
We purchased a lot in early 1986 in the Woodridge Lake Estates and eventually moved into our new home by Christmas of 1987. Woodridge Lake Estates was a great place to raise a family and our three children and their families look forward to visiting. I have seen many changes throughout the years with our community and board. With all candor, the board that I am joining has had the most positive impact of all previous boards. And, I’ve seen them all!
